Ava Hoffman, PhD

I’m currently a Senior Scientist at Fred Hutch Cancer Center studying genetics and data science education. I lead several education grant programs through the National Institutes of Health, including Data Science for Environmental Health, Genomic Education Modules (GEMs), and Biomedical Open Case Studies. I’m also deeply involved with the Genomic Data Science Community Network and the AnVIL, a cloud computing platform. At the core of my work is centering community while furthering data-intensive education and research.
